Yellowjacket is a complex and often unstable identity assumed by Dr. Henry "Hank" Pym in Marvel Comics. Pym, a brilliant scientist and one of the founding members of the Avengers, is the creator of Pym Particles, which allow him to alter his size.

Frustrated by his own insecurities and a growing mental instability, Pym adopted the Yellowjacket persona. This new identity was more aggressive and boastful, a stark contrast to his usually reserved demeanor. He even presented himself as a separate person who defeated Pym and took his place.

As Yellowjacket, Pym possessed all of his size-altering abilities, along with bio-stings that could paralyze opponents. However, his erratic behavior and unstable personality made him a liability to the Avengers. His mental health deteriorated further, leading to acts of violence and questionable judgment.

While Pym eventually regained control and shed the Yellowjacket persona (later returning to identities like Ant-Man and Giant-Man), the Yellowjacket period remains a significant and troubled chapter in his life. The Yellowjacket persona continues to be used by other characters in the Marvel Universe, often as antagonists.
